Views from the Pew – Mothers’ Union

We have all been faced with challenges to our faith, particularly as we have been undergoing the unusual experience of the pandemic. In the same manner that Thomas doubted Jesus’ resurrection, some of our fellow Jamaicans have doubted the existence of the corona virus, despite the alarming number of people world-wide who have been affected.
We who trust the record of Scripture have the assurance that our Lord Jesus is risen, that He is always with us and always plans for our future. We can see this in the availability of the new technology and the readiness of persons who have been blessed with the wisdom to learn and embrace these skills, making it possible to continue our communication in every sphere of life.
We are a resilient people and, in accordance with the theme for our Mothers’ Union organization for 2021, “Rebuilding Hope and Confidence”, we know that with God’s help and our determination we will certainly overcome this. As the refrain from the beautiful Easter hymn says,
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone,
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.”
Have a Blessed Easter.
